Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development, delivery, facilitation, and measurement of regulatory Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) training for Universal Orlando. Trainer facilitates site-specific safety, environmental, and health training per OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA guidelines or per local regulation for all Team Members. Administers technical training and performs operational evaluations related to facility safety standards.
SCOPE: Delivers and facilitates UO and/or UPR EHS training, OSHA, and company-specific safety and regulatory training for all team members. Assists with the discipline of individuals, as needed. Assists with the evaluation of trainees within the classroom and field. Makes decisions regarding curriculum design, presentation, and length. Partners with other EHS functional area experts related to safety operations, environmental affairs, industrial hygiene, construction, fire, and standards and assurance.
EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required; Associate’s degree is preferred; Bachelor’s degree is preferred – Safety Engineering/Management, Public Health, Environment and/or Biological or Educational Sciences.
OSHA 10/30-hour General Industry and/or Construction Instructor preferred
Fall Protection Competent Person preferred
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of experience in safety, technical and risk analysis training required; combination of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge and competency in focused safety programs: Heavy Machinery (aerial work platforms, powered industrial trucks, etc.), Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, IDLH situations, and hazard analysis. 1-3+ years of Instructional Design experience also preferred.
